Not in Today’s Obits
Today’s daily prompt is to write your obituary. At first I thought, “Now why would I want to do that?”
Then I laughed remembering at a young age hearing about older people getting up and reading the obituaries to see if they knew anyone who had passed away. And there was always the joke about the man who checked each morning for his name and when he couldn’t find it then he knew that he was still alive for one more day!
I simply want to live my life in such away that my obituary will read:
She followed Jesus with all her heart, her soul, her mind, and her strength; and she loved her neighbor as herself. Now she goes to be with her Lord and await those of you who will join her there.
