We each need to do our part…and be who God made us to be. If we spend time feeling inadequate or wishing that we were what God made someone else, then we are not performing our job to the best of our ability, functioning as God made us. Continuing through the New Testament, I camped out at Ephesians chapter 4 today. Verse 16 especially stood out: “from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.”
For the Body of Christ as seen through the body of believers to have growth, unity, and love, each joint, each part has to be working properly according to its design. Kind of like a quilt, each piece being designed and placed by the Great Designer into the completed picture.
Are you working properly according to the way God designed you?
