To the Moon and Back

wing, flight, flying, sky, clouds, airplanesOne of my kids’ favorite books growing up was the story of little nut brown hare in Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney and Anita Jeram.

Today’s daily prompt, Come Fly with Me, reminded me of two things: 1) That story and (2)The story of my daughter.

The prompt suggests sharing a story about the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home.

The journey to our daughter spanned a decade of years, multiple countries, and nearly 10,000 miles.

It all began with a dream … a very realistic dream. The dream sparked the conception of a nine-year pregnancy.

On more than one occasion, we experienced death of that dream.

And, like big nut brown hare, I love my daughter all the way to the moon and back!

How far have you traveled from home?
