“Keep your eyes open for God, watch for his works; be alert for signs of his presence.”
I have been reading through The Message this year to surprise my mind with new and fresh ways of looking at Scripture. I try to read through a different translation every year or so. I also read Psalm 103 today, which includes this:
“He crowns you with love and mercy—a paradise crown.
He wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal.
He renews your youth—you’re always young in his presence.”
Am I watching for God’s presence in my every day life? You bet’cha!
Today my Bible study partner called to check on me and see how I was doing. (Embarrassingly, I had used my injured arm in a not so good way, inflicting more pain on myself). So her call came at the perfect time.
Today, my next door neighbor brought over chicken and rice for dinner (he didn’t know I wasn’t really up for cooking tonight, but God did)!
