In The Rock

In The Rock (A Flower Grows)

Outside of town, there is a mountain—

In the mountain—a solid rock.

In the rock, there’s a crack—

In the crack, a flower grows.

O, who would know? Who would know—

A beautiful flower could grow

In a crack, in the rock in the side of a mountain?

Inside the village, there’s a lady,

She lives a hard and rugged life.

Her life is filled with days of struggles,

Yet in her struggles, her joy shows.

O, who would know, Who would know—

A beautiful flower could grow

In a crack, in the rock, on the side of a mountain?

The Creator knows, O yes, He knows!

Beautiful flowers can grow

Wherever He plants them!
