One of the books I am reading right now is called Embracing Soul Care by Stephen W. Smith. In yesterday’s devotional reading, he talked about the incredible uses of Velcro and how there should be Soul Velcro. He says: “Without Velcro in the soul, we don’t keep crucial beliefs in place. We can forget that we matter to God. We can ignore what is really true about us and begin to listen to lies whispered into our hearts. We learn, in fact, to doubt that we are loved at all.” (p. 55).
